Next collection's inspirations

Our next collection will consist of a variety of fabrics that contain natural fiber, from silk satin, silk muslin, voile, to embroidered linen with diaphanous and ethereal qualities. The inspiration behind our next collection is driven from classic novels, particularly the work of Jane Austen and Charlotte Bronte's.

As some of you may know, I am a big fan of Austen's stories, firstly because of the sentiment, I remember my teenage years when being a hopeless romantic wasn’t so hard. More importantly, it is so refreshing to read a classic novel about women that was written by a woman! Here is a little review of mine about the books. Of course, I can’t do her justice and you have to discover the J.A. world for yourself! But I’ll try my best to cover the major points.

The heroines in Jane Austen’s novels are always emotionally, socially, mentally intelligent woman in a time where their socio-economic situation and class defined their entire life and future. The characters are challenged to break through all negative social expectations. The books always feature great plot twists, realistic Romanticism, and the characters confront their own inner demons. Overcoming them as an obstacle that tests the character’s morality and intelligence, who at the end are rewarded with redemption and growth.

If you are wondering what does all this has to do with fashion! Our next collection will be inspired by Jane Austen's books and movies, since each character’s personalities reflect on their sense of style, therefore, each garment will be designed after each character, we will try our best to use similar fabrics and materials which usually was worn by the 18th century women, whilst featuring some modern elements!

I will keep you updated with our progress! Please follow us on social media to find out more.
